How I Make My Soaps
My bars of soap last longer than commercial soaps because they are cold processed. My soaps cure for a minimum of 4 weeks before they can be sold. This means they are not melt and pour soaps (hot process), which can be sold within 24-48 hours. I make a lye solution (sodium hydroxide to facilitate saponification), but because my soaps are super-fatted no lye remains in the finished bar.
Neem+Nettle: Saponified Brassica campestris (Canola) Oil, Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Vitis vinifera (Grape seed) Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil; Powder of Neem, Nettle, Benzoin; Essential Oil of Cypress, Himalayan Cedar wood, Bergamot
Oatmeal Turmeric: Saponified Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Persea Americana (Avocado) Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil, Oryza sativa (Rice bran) Oil; Powder of Turmeric, Benzoin; Gluten Free Oats
Refreshing*: Saponified Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Persea Americana (Avocado) Oil, Vitis vinifera (Grape seed) Oil, Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil; Benzoin powder; Essential Oil of Lavender, Peppermint, Lemon *Contains Nut
Use to wash face, body and hair. Store on a slotted or ridged soap dish to extend the life of the bar.
As a natural; herbal; handmade product, color, scent and consistency might vary from batch to batch. Sodium hydroxide is used to make the lye solution; however, the mixture is super fatted so no lye remains in the finished product.
